For a film adaptation about giant robots smashing into one another, there sure are a lot of boring humans in this movie. Take a trip down nostalgia lane as Chris and Owen attempt to deliver a Transformers script that doesn't get bogged down in military fetishism and a cynical disregard for meaningful characterization, while keeping the explosions and silly robot backstories.
Transformers is directed by Michael Bay, written by our nemeses Roberto Orzi and Alex Kurtzman, and stars Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, and a bunch of SFX shots Michael Bay recycled from his earlier film "The Island."
